Tim Turner is an operational strategist, manufacturing executive, and nationally recognized leadership coach with more than three decades of experience transforming organizations from the factory floor upward. His career spans automotive, aerospace, energy, and advanced manufacturing, where he has built high performance cultures, launched new factories, and delivered measurable improvements in safety, quality, flow, and cost.
Tim’s leadership foundation was forged during 22 years at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK), where he advanced through multiple roles including Production Team Leader (Trim, Final, Chassis), Safety Team Leader for Early Symptom Investigation, and Quality Gate Team Leader for the Lexus launch. He created the Sensory Skills Certification Program required for all Lexus team members and helped lead the plant to a JD Power Platinum Award in its first year of production. His safety leadership produced five consecutive months with zero recordables in a 1,000-member operation, and his ergonomic innovation earned him a U.S. Patent. Tim also received national recognition from Diversity Inc. Magazine and was named a John Maxwell Top 100 Leader.
As Unit Level Quality Manager for a Fortune 500 company, Tim led three plants through a dramatic quality turnaround, reducing defect rates from 7.46% to 0.34% while strengthening global supplier performance across China and Mexico. He earned his Six Sigma Black Belt while driving these improvements.
Tim is the Owner and President of Triangle Consulting Group, where he has delivered Lean transformation, operational strategy, and workforce development across 24 states and 4 countries. His clients include companies within the Space Industry, Shipbuilding Industry, Alternative Energy, Electric Car Company, and multiple private equity-backed manufacturers. His work has generated significant enterprise value, including a $14M annual savings project for a space industry client and a two-year transformation for an alternative energy company that helped prevent 200 American jobs from being moved offshore. He has also successfully launched two new manufacturing facilities and developed fundamental skills training programs for emerging advanced manufacturing companies.
A certified John Maxwell speaker, trainer, and coach, Tim is known for building leaders at every level. His philosophy centers on grassroots engagement, bilingual communication, and visual management systems that make complex operations clear, repeatable, and scalable. He is the author of One Team On All Levels, published by Productivity Press, which outlines his approach to frontline-driven transformation.
Tim serves as a United Way Bluegrass Community Connector and continues to advise organizations seeking operational excellence, workforce equity, and sustainable growth. He brings a rare combination of factory floor credibility and executive-level strategic insight — making him a trusted partner for boards, CEOs, and investors navigating transformation, expansion, or organizational renewal.
